Monique Jivram has over ten years experience as an arts educator, curator and producer of arts participation and engagement working in large and small galleries, public institutions, community settings, arts festivals, education settings and healthcare environments. She has extensive experience of developing and leading creative workshops and environments in a variety of settings. She also develops training sessions for Artist facilitators and CPD sessions for teachers and professionals

Her work focuses on high quality, engaging and innovative commissions facilitating people to work in a inspiring and collaborative way. Working with diverse audiences, she has a significant track record of creating innovative environments that offer opportunities to encounter creativity and explore multidisciplinary practice.

As an illustrative artist fascinated by the universal language of images, she integrates drawings of everyday objects into her artwork considering image patterns: structuring and paring images to consider narratives.

Training, team building and CPD:

Monique also designs and delivers training sessions for Artist facilitators and CPD sessions for teachers and professionals. Courses to date have included:

  • Setting up as an artist facilitator
  • The art of facilitation
  • Exploring experimental drawing
  • Activities and drawing techniques to take groups into a gallery
  • Approaches to introduce children to art in a gallery context
  • Facilitating dialogue with children in a gallery or museum

Based in Bristol, Monique is passionate about accessibility, inclusion, engagement and recognises the importance of a rich environment and its potential to inspire. In addition to her BA Honours, Monique also has a teacher training qualification (PTLLS).
